About the event

Children experience big feelings — and sometimes, those emotions show up as challenging behaviours. In this insightful session, psychologist Tanya Franic will help parents and carers understand what’s really going on beneath the surface, and how to support children in developing healthy emotional regulation skills.

You’ll learn about:

  • What it means to be regulated vs. dysregulated, and how this looks at different ages and stages

  • Practical strategies for prevention, managing emotions in the moment, and supporting your child afterwards

  • Common triggers such as hunger, tiredness, or changes at home

  • When a behaviour becomes a behaviour of concern, and who to seek help from
